The woman eating lunch with her husband
Looked like the girl in a cake shop of my youth,
the cafe beside bakery at the communal bath.
She served me coffee and coco macrons
I ate many macarons and put on weight
The one-sided love affair had ended before
I had a chance to get fat; she had a boyfriend
And my heart was full of hatred.
Not towards her, I hasten to say, but for
But her boyfriend`s hands on her slender
Waist, in my mind I killed him a thousand times
But he survived and lived in old folks home
Somewhere up the frozen North and reindeer
And my hatred has not diminished.
