HOLA ODDERS!

Where I am sitting right now, in a cramped little room in Kolkata, India, the first look at the sky could make you cry. It’s the middle of monsoons, the sky goes from grey to ominously black and then suddenly floods with the sharp sun. It’s muggy as hell, wet and muddy. When you go out soldiering an umbrella, you could hear the whole city sighing under a weight that can’t be lifted.

There are many times I have wondered where I would go if I had the money. I always stop at Paris, and sometimes San Francisco, Montreal, or Ontario. Places with a face, geography that could easily morph itself into your dearest stranger and invite you into a conversation. Every time it occurs to me that my city isn’t “there” hasn’t the best things, best restaurants, best skyscrapers, isn’t the best form of conventional reality – I insist on conversation, I insist on having a piece of cyber-space called The Odd Magazine that takes me on beautiful trips every year!
